HB to 8B pencil on A3 smooth Bristol. Reference is my own taken from St Ives coast in Cornwall at the beginning of summer.Related content

I love Cornwall and have eaten in some fantastic restaurants in St Ives.
As I look up from these rocks, I feel as though I should be looking at fishing boats. Beautifully done my friend.

the gentle gradations of tone are awesome, the textures are perfect, the depth you've created is incredible, staring deep into the overlaps is very zen too

Thank you very much. To be honest for me the patience depends on the project, if it's challenging and interesting the patience isn't relevant. I'm more likely to loose interest if i find it boring which thankfully this wasn't

When I enlarged this to take a closer look, I found myself drifting into the same stream of consciousness I so often do while cloud gazing, so many wonderful images were coming to life.

Thanks Ken, glad you like it. It was a challenge to try to capture each stones individual character and it took a while to come together but i do like how it came out.

Beautiful. I love the individual textures of the stones and shadows cast. I can't even begin to imagine how long it must have taken to draw this in A2.

Thank you Jooleya, when i read your comment i had to check my post and change it from A2 to A3. I'm so used to adding A2 on my drawings i did it without thinking. Yes it took a while
