Description Taken on my second trip to Hellingly Hospital, April 2009.

This is a Low Dynamic Range (LDR) image. For those who don't know, it is made with the same technique as an HDR images, but with only versions of the same image with different brightnesses.

Is hellingly a good place? I really want to go there but I cant get people to go there and my mum worked there for a few years and the stories ive heard.. well lol. I wouldnt stay in the dark for too long.

Pretty cool, is that just basically layering two similar images to get different focuses or effects or something different?

In a way yes, but there is only one image. You keep one normal, lighten one by 50% and darken one by 50%. Then I use Photomatix to generate the image
And what it imitates is HDR, which is used to get maximum detail in all areas of images, instead of either very light or very dark sections of images being either whit or black. Also makes the whole image look a lot more as your eyes would see it, and not how cameras see it Hope this helps
