Why can't you just accept the INCREDIBLY RARE FACT that a critic has died in a horror film. Β

I know that originally the film was supossed to be good.
in fact the writer (Joss Whedon) made a different Newborn Alien than the one in the film:
"An alien, to be sure, but nothing we've seen so far, its forelegs arch out of its back like spiders legs, its back legs set on enormous haunches, thick and powerful. Its head is long, eyeless, like the others, but along its white expanse red veins, coming out of the skin and running like thick black hairs to the back. It has retracted pincers at the side of head that come out when its tongue does. It's much bigger than the others, nearly the size of the queen herself.
And it's bone white. "
This is what the writer (Joss Whedon) wrote in the script
He even stated: "I don't remember writing, 'A withered, granny-lookin' Pumkinhead-kinda-thing makes out with Ripley."
The fact the movie turned out like this is due to budget cuts,
Oh and did I mention the battle with the aliens took place on earth? And that when the new alien is seen it's during a battle in a spaceship crashing to earth?

I was so suprised that Prometheus was called the biggest disappointment of the year. I feel bad for Mr. Scott. He makes such beautiful films. (P.S. Dark Knight rises is gonna suck, I'm just saying.)

I really wanted to like this movie. It offers some creative ideas, the effects are good, the cinematography is awesome and the characters are very memorable, but it just makes you wish that they spend more time on making a stronger script (no disrespect toο»Ώ Joss Weadon). In the end Alien Ressurrection was an orange with alot of juice but they didn't squeezed entirely.....i love that metaphor ^^

I agree that this movie wasn't THAT bad... but it definitely was the worst Alien movie by far, it just didn't have the feel of the others. I've never even seen Alien 3, Alien was a great movie and Aliens was even better than the first movie.

And personally, I loved the movie. Yea, it was silly,but ya know what? It could've been worse, and it's a true guilty pleasure for me.

While it IS the weakest in the Alien-series, I still find Resurrection to be entertaining and a million times better then the AvP-movies.

Is it wrong that I kinda like this movie. It's stupid, yes. But it's fun enough. If you ignore the fact that that it's an Alien movie....kinda hard I'll admit.
I actually find myself liking the characters too for some reason. How often in a horror flick do a pirate, a robot, an alien hybrid and guy in a wheel chair end up being the ones that live. XD

I think it gets a worse rap than it deserves. It's miles above the truly dreadful third one, imo. But it's nowhere near the awesome levels of the first two.

The biggest plot hole in this movie is the one that made the movie possible that is genetics works by what is in your body foreign or not. How is it possible that Ripleyβs DNA could contain the genetic makeup of the Queen Alien?

I had to watch this movie for a college class about metamorphoses. And believe me when I said I felt tempted to go up to my professor and ask why she subjected the class to that POS.

I remember watching the movie and yes it did have it's flaws. It was the weakest one out of all of them, but still quite enjoyable for me at least. I think the second one was the best out of all of them.
