Description
The hanging rings of the Chandelier Megalopolis harbor vast spaces cast in eternal shadows, far removed from the Rupture's Light and holding yet undiscovered secrets.
During the time of the settler's first arrival, these were treasure troves of opportunity, symbols of the great unknown awaiting on this new frontier. But with the rise of the young candelabra nations, spaces beyond the reach of civilization have become a liability to the security of their territories. They can be easily reimagined as places of sinister secrecy, where dangerous vermin and hostile emirate factions flourish out of sight. As such, some of the dark spaces around the chandelier have been declared the hunting grounds of Unionist Vindicators, seeking to end the lawlessness that would attract destructive elements and threaten the fledgling nations.

In these cramped and restrictive spaces, the void weaving in and out between many thousand rings and spires, the hunt for the young union's adversaries is a long-winded and dangerous exercise. Entire armies could be sent into the labyrinthine structure without ever hoping of revealing all that which lies within. Because of this, it has been rumored that most deployments of the vindicators are more of a ceremonial show of power, rather than any practical strategy to root out the unwelcome elements. Buried deep in the structures of the Chandelier, rogue nations, cults, and syndicates persist, growing and prospering on the new frontier's riches, perhaps even enough so to pose a serious danger to the self-proclaimed civilized worlds.
