Hi Colin, you're right many folk sometime only see what they're seeking and not other nuances that abound in a portrait. Photography is all too easily seen as the 'usual' whereas paintings are observed to possess more soul. That may be true but overlooks the wonderment a photograph can provide. You appear to be one of those people who look, observe and see more. Thank you for your comment.

Watford by adoption - lived here longer than anywhere else, but started off in Aberdeen, brief stop in southend then 20 years in Iran (before the revolution!) and then London and Watford. Still cheer for Scotland in the Rugby but not an ABE (Anyone But England) - cheer for England whenever they are not playing Scotland!
My Daughter is now a North London girl teaching near Alexander Palace.
I don't do enough portraits - will have to rectify that!
