Description
Full view and press play to see the whole animation play pleaseI animated my pixel room. I added the detail on just by fading it because theres not much that i can do to animate it.
Flash is a vector program and it messed up the pixel art a bit and i couldn't sort it out but you can see it properly here. [link]
i just updated it by adding "bounce" to the falling objects on the PC desk. i just re-submitted it over the previous one.
any more suggestions for improvement welcome.
28 Layers (including 1 motion guide)
279 Frames (including the motionless frames)
26 tweens
2 buttons
1 font that i really like

OO man, you listed your crap for Flash
hahahahahhahaha, :

279 Frames (including the motionless frames)
26 tweens
2 buttons
1 font that i really like
first off, flash is easy as hell and 28 layers? why not just build MC's
, it'd save you a lot more time and it'd be cleaner, much cleaner. and one motion tween? why not just apply different tweens with different Eases? you'd still get that clean feel... anyways, i like your Pixel creations

Thanks for the tip, but i did use easing on the tweens (they were all motion not just one). i used so many because there were so many objects to move. and yeah i didn't need to use so many layers but it made it alot easier to animate them over and over again.
Glad you like my pixel stuff.

Cool man, very nice bouncing/rumbling effect on the PC, I like how you didn't make it rumble for the mouse pad but then the mouse and all the rest of the equipment falls and that makes the table shake - great work!

notice how smaller objects bounce slightly higher and large objects only bounce with heavier objects.

haha. great! only one thing i think could be changed. when the computer falls into place i think the table should at least shake a little bit like the tv-table. if a gamecube can do it a computer would RUMBLE it
anyways.. great idea on the controller and cord man!

Wow, that was really quite cool! Your pixel art is very well done, but the Flash animation sure spices it up a bit. The moving around and popping up effects were nifty, plus the way the game controller gets grabbed by the cord was awesome.
As far as your pixel art goes, I'm impressed. You're using a smaller scale than I've seen a lot of people use but you've crammed in all the detail as well. The computer setup is a prime example, showing how much detail you can fit in such a small space. I like the television too, with that subtle but useful glare on the screen.
Nice work, and way to do something original with this!

Thanks, i thought i would try something different, nice 'n' spicy. as for my desk these is so much packed into a little space like that because my desk is really cramped ( i need a bigger desk)

Well, I really love it. But you should edit something (description). Erase the work 'download' because if you download it then the pixels look weird.

Nice work
the pixel art aspect is great, and the jiggle/bounce you've given things on the animation side is unreal...
and the joypad lead is the icing on the cake, really sweet dude

Γber niftyness! I really like the effect you achieved here. It reminds me to the one Pixelfreak did with an isometric house: [link] I like the thing you did with the joypad the most, though!
I wish I knew my way through Flash. I had a wonderful idea for a cityscape some time ago that would definately need something powerful as Flash, but every time I tried to tinker with it I'm left with nothing *sigh*.
Good job!

llZENll In reply to ??? [2004-02-10 06:46:45 +0000 UTC]
cool, i saw some other pixel art by others using very similiar objects. are these pixel objects part of a library that you use to piece together a room? or did you draw them all yourself?
π: 0 β©: 1
martman In reply to llZENll [2004-02-10 09:02:16 +0000 UTC]
I drew them all myself, but the way i do it is to make all of the objects seperately to they are to a better scale and it's easier to re-position them.
that library of objects sounds pretty cool, i think i might make one starting with all of the objects from my friends room. i could also put them into flash file where other people can make their own rooms out of the objects and take screen prints, unless you want to copyright the idea.
