arrow keys to moveI'm creating a platform game in Flash, and this is what i have so far. Please can you test it out for me by trying to get all of the coins and just play around a bit.
Comments and criticism welcome. Please tell me of any bugs or problems you find.
-I know they dont actually hurt you yet
-I know if you fall then your stuff*d
-I know the graphics look like crap but they will be made after the base programming.

This is the second version of my platform game, the code has been totally re-written and now features intelligent enemies (by intelligent i mean a step above mushrooms)
they know they cant get you if you are too close so you can use this to your advantage, a little bit of strategy.

Only problem I've found is how easy this is. I got all 250 without getting hurt...

lol, this isn't the game it's just a test of the engine. i'v still got to make many different types of enemies, attacks, graphics, sounds and levels. long way off yet.

Looks good. The only thing i noticed is that you should make it so you cant select the numbers and stuff in health bar. Other than that, it looks great.

Ahh yeah i get it, i should make them match and be a bit more professional. i doubt i would have noticed that ever . thanks
(while i was writing this comment the doorbell rang and it turns out i just won an online prize i dont remember entering, a girls medium t-shirt lol)

Havn't added the getting hit parts yet, as i said. It will obviously be in a future version where you can test out your godlyness.

thanks, looks like no-one has found any bugs yet. i think i will add it into my scraps soon and work on the next version.

maybe you should end the game when you fall off the platform, instead of just falling..........?
but other than that, i liked it heh!

Thanks, eventually when i start adding graphics they will be arms with big fists and maby put them on tank wheels !!
The next enemies i will be programming will be things that can jump across platforms and maby.. up platforms. Then after i have that little bit of code sorted out things that you actually have to fight with.

eventually he will even have legs. he will definately punch but i havn't decided on the weapon yet. probably multiple ones....depending on the enemy.

a stick
he can punch, and then also use his stick to hit an enemy that is difficult to beat and a bit farther away
also he could use the stick to jump longer distances, or to cling on the edge of a platform

now that is a very cool idea!! it makes the cogs in my head spin, he must have a STICK!! hope you dont mind if when playing a future version he just happens to have one of those cool little gadgets!
