Hello hello! First of all, thanks for all the favourites on my previous post of my adopts! <:
So since I'm trying to develop my style a little, I figured I should cover an issue I've had with most of my previous art styles. Same-face syndrome (or the MLP equivalent of every pony having the same body). I decided I should cover this from the beginning, and thus, I made a reference sheet for myself to cover all the differences I want to have between the basic "breeds" in MLP. This doesn't cover masculine/androgynous pony builds, just feminine. This is also very flexible, sometimes I'll give earth ponies long feathers, I'll make stocky unicorns or skinny earth ponies etc. This is just a general thing.
I also might release these as bases later on if there's enough interest!

   EARTH PONY
Build: Stocky
Unique Feature: Strength and stock
Earth ponies are of a stockier build, and are a regular height. Pretty regular ears, with a short curved muzzle. They have broad stocky shoulders, with thick, regular length legs. Their hind legs are a little shorter, and a little stockier. Their hind is not notably sloped. I give them short feathers.

   UNICORN
Build: Skinny
Unique Feature: Long tails
Unicorns are a skinny build and are tall. They're pretty proportional, with long legs and a long neck making up their height. They have very long feathers beginning at their (elbows?) and small cloven hooves. They have low muscle definition. Their ears are longer and thinner with light feathering on the tips.

       PEGASUS
Build: Regular
Unique Feature: Sloped back and pinned ears
Pegasi are the smallest breed, with regular to short length legs in a regular width. They have very sloped backs with their furthermost wing feathers attached to either leg. They have short-medium length feathers and can have tail feathers on a pony to pony basis. They have short sharp muzzles with permanently pinned back ears. Their wing size is also individual to them but they'll usually be big.

   BORN ALICORN
Build: Skinny
Unique Feature: Spindly build
Born alicorns are very skinny and disproportional, with very long necks and legs and a thicker torso and ribcage. They have very long horns and very large wings. They have long sharp muzzles with very long ears. They have high muscle definition.

Breeds to do: zebras, changelings, kirin, seaponies
Also cover: wing & horn deformities, disfigurements etc
