I don't mind the critique at all, I appreciate it!
There's no such a thing as reading too far into it, it's art, you can give it your own meaning, that's what's great about it, and I love your vision about society. The eyes are in fact reflecting environment - but the environment isn't detailed, so there's not much to reflect. Don't give me credit for anatomy though, I haven't modeled it, I just used stock model "Victoria 4" and morphed the face in Poser.
Thank you very much for your opinion and rating, it means a lot

The girl isn't actually modeled by me from scratch, it's a model from Poser, I just changed the features with dials. Other things like her textures and everything else is my work though ^^

Excellent idea, it turnet out really well indeed ! I like the idea to remove the alpha textures on hair and eyelashes ... Great image !

Thanks! At first I tried doing it with alpha textures but it didn't fit to the entire simple scene concept

Nice and original, I'm surprised that I don't see stuff like this more to be honest. I like the grey in his eyes personally, they have good contrast with the black and white.

This is very stunning.
The black and white contrast is very effective especially since you put the black checkers on her face.
I'm personally not too big on the solid black eyeliner though, it makes here expression look overly artificial. I'd go with a smokey eye technique
Great work!

It's not an eyeliner in fact, these are eyelashes, or more specifically - the geometry used to map lashes on.
Still, thank you for your opinion, really appreciate it!

This is such an amazing concept and breathtaking execution. I wish the iris had more detail, instead of just being grey circles. But I love the face.

Thank you!
Actually, I can make the iris more natural easily, I just thought it would brake the balance of simple colors, but I'll try it

Terrific. I thought this was a photo of a piece of sculpture when I first viewed it. You nailed the most difficult aspect of digital art: lighting and shadows. Brilliant. Also, the face is eerily haunting.

Thank you for your kind words!
I used studio lighting that I've been researching quite a while ago, but I really like it because it gives nice soft shadows, equal illumination from all sides and nice reflections from the light sources.
