Something I made recently for an upcoming event that I'm hosting at work. It's sort of a mini pop culture convention, comic-con-lite for the Uni campus.

This is Rebecca Chambers from Resident Evil, for those that don't know or were thinking they recognized her... The image of her and the zombeh dog are both from the promo materials of the Resident Evil DS game called Deadly Silence. Originally done by Shinkrio. It's amazing they produced such amazing art for such a... pretty much crap game.

The logo is designed entirely by me, sort of a riff on what I remembered from the Resident Evil 3 logo. Breaking everything apart and moving it around was some of the most fun : D

As for the why, my marketing plan for the event is producing many different posters and materials featuring (more or) less obscure pop culture characters, figures and things. This was just the first thing I started messing with and really liked it.
