A Little Rain Must Fall...I have been trying to really stretch myself lately when it comes to Terragen. Regular scenes are fine and dandy, but I want something ...more....out of my stuff. I have seen people do snow and such but I have never never seen a Terragen scene with rain for some odd reason. I was actually going to have this be a meteor-strike scene with a large comet punching a fiery hole in that layer of clouds (sounds corny but it was starting to look cool) and decided it didnt really fit the mood here so i scrapped it (maybe next pic

Excellent!!! Until this, I had never seen a Terragen image with rain either. You did a great job pulling it off. I love the way you have the clouds darkened over the raining area showing the storm moving across the sky. The mist(Fog?) seems as though it might be to evenly spread out across the landscape, though I'm not sure how you could do this any other way with Terragen. Regardless...I think it's better than anything I've been able to do so far...

Very cool render Wes,lookas though we were thinking along the same lines again check this one [link] there are some very cool cloud brushes here on DA,that you might be able to addapt to use in PSP..for the fog.. great post work,keep up the great work..

the fog doesn't look so even to me chrono, it's smoothly rendered and plays a good role with the low opacity mountains in the background, /me likes a lot

Very nice... I love the fog. My only complaint is that the fog looks too even... would be nice to see just a bit of it crawling up the hillside a little ways... and give it a more wavy look on the top. Would make it seem much more realistic there

Excellent concept and very well executed.
As for suggestions, the texturing looks a little too bumpy here, all the black bits are caused by that, the bump/scale looks good though. The colours seem good too.
I like the fog bit.
The rain, well what can I say, a great technique you have, ingenious, well done and the coulds look dark enough for the rain too.
The moon I like.

Hmm a combination of 2 difficult elemetns here. Rain and night. The rain is handled quite well actually with the land looking suffciently wet and all. It still looks a bit too bright for a night scene though. Land fog is also a nice touch.

Wonderful textures in this, the sky looks ominous, love the lush greens, nice work on this, and rainfall, cleanses the earth, once again.

Very nice! The rain is very well done. Looks like the rest has been covered. Except the shadow lightness is off some. Still an over all great job!

Great rain effect nicely done.
I like the fog in there although I agree about it needing less contrast in its thickness. Also I agree that the scene overall is too light for a night scene.
The textures are nice and very thick which is good, but maybe try setting the scale of each texture down a tad - don't know.
Great colors in this as well.

It looks kind of weird with the fog starting so suddenly,when the foreground is soooooo clear. Should be a little more gradual I think.
Good work though I like the rain and your texturing is sooooooooo above me it is really kind of sad :-/

the scene maybe just a little bright for the light of the moon [ well actually reflection ] try reducing some of the brightness. anyway good concept with the rain/fog thing.. yeah ive seen it done before... and on Da i actually think theres a tutorial on it.. somewhere
