I really like how the orc isn't really the bad guy here, either. From the sound of it, this is his homeworld that the elf is colonizing.

Thanks. Yeah I like stories where the "bad" guy is only perceived that way by the obvious "good" character(s). That way it's more than just black and white, but a complex case of moral/cultural misunderstanding or fear of the unknown.

I'm doing something similar with my own project. The most elegant and opulent race in my little fiction, the Kai'Zari [link] , are definitely one of the top villains. Meanwhile, the savage Kro'Taruk [link] prove to be just as good at being nurturing parents and caring spouses as they are at killing the ever loving crap out of anything they see.

Excellent job, it is no easy task to blend the old world and the world of tomorrow, but you did it well. If WOW was more like this I'd totally play it.
