wonderful environments, full of so many fun details and such distinct character! it's really inspiring, especially to someone like me who prefers to avoid drawing environments, haha

do you do thumbnail sketches before you start a piece like this? or do you dive right in? and if so do you do it in pencil first, then ink it?
