I never liked it when they decided all the 2nd year mini-bots needed those weird voices. Sure, I didn't like Seaspray's gargling, but the one I hated the most (even to this day) is Warpath.

I was recently asked if I would contribute to a Beast Wars project featuring Depth Charge. I had little interest in Beast Wars, and I wasn't even aware of the Depth Charge character - but now I'm digging the whole shebango!
Depth Charge is a great character design - I love that face! Trouble is, he's pretty tricky to draw properly. Kudos on an excellent deformation - keeping these characters recogniseable must be a nightmare for you!

It would have been interesting if they kept Depthcharge on into Beast Machines but I kinda half to agree with what Primal and Rattrap said about him in the episode in which he was introduced. I honestly didn't like him that much because of his attitude. The other maximals had a fun and whimsical appeal while Depthcharge's edgyness made him seem out of place.

If they kept Depthcharge on Beast Machines, he would have just been flapping about on the floor, gasping for air, while the Tank Drones run over him.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. He could fly instead but then he would have to change his name from Depthcharge to something that has to do with airial bombing.

Y'know I know all of these shows are supposedly "kids" shows *eye-roll*, but I sure as hell didn't get all the innuendos, the social messages about Euthanasia, the philosophical questions about "Are we masters of our own destiny, or slaves to fate?" the usual technical jargon and GOD knows what else when I was 6-8 years old.
Kid shows indeed.
I still loved it, though. XD
