what did you do on the edge of the photograph? i really like that effect. It draws the eyes in, and makes the shot much sharper.

Some of the vignetting is from the lens being nearly wide open, and some is from (I think) light falloff in the scanner (which maybe is also soft at the corners) and the rest is the way I clip the blacks to get some contrast back.
