This is well executed with attention to detail. I think the trigger shape is wrong, but that is probably a perspective issue. Oddly, the wood table the rifle is laying on is better than the rifle's furniture, which is too glossy and too smooth. If you improved that texture and its associated bumpmaps etc it would look damn close to perfect.

I am in awe at that texture detail, sure slap on some DOF and people go ballistic but seriously, nice UV mapping and texture layering makes it for me, well done!

Incredible work!!! looks real!!! But, (I hate to be that guy!) The extractor is off. Its out too far, It doesn't sit flush with the receiver it should be closer to the bolt. And the safety is WAY to small actually, the whole bolt sleeve is a bit to small. And as another guy said something about the bolt handle seems off too. If you fixed those details I would of never believed it wasn't a photo of a real rifle! (Sorry man, It's just that I own several Mausers and those things jumped out rite away at me...you know how us gun nuts are...lol

Looks like a weird shadow/lighting problem near the bolt... Maybe bump up the shadow quality? Or even add some SSAO to overlap it?

if u mean that part on the right side of the bullets...it's just some postwork in photoshop to reach a more vintage and dirty look...maybe it's a bit too strong... there isn't a problem with the samples

Oh no no, I mean like under the bolt of the gun. The thingy in the background doesn't look half bad, but I think maybe it was juts a little bit too shiny on the wood near the bolt of the gun which made the shadows look a little funny... or maybe I'm just a loser judging your awesome work haha
