i know us photographers here on dA have been a little "infrared happy",,, but i just cant resist posting this.. it is too cool... make sure you full view...next week i'll be focusing more on my film-work (with mixed feelings.. i love that digital) ... but im still gonna bust it out here and there...
this is a park in savannah one block away from my house... so beautiful!!!

Hey strohl...this is James Again....dude..i suck at photography and everything that comes along with that area but i'd like to see that fountain in the middle of this pic with some more color. Do one with a slight difference of color to make it stand out more and then do one with a bright pink or something. Try it man...i'll check up on it later.

i first thought this was all snow covered, and im like, wait a min. heh. i really love this, its beautiful there. i used to go to savannah every summer and wander around the parks and shops. i miss it there.

haha i love infrared and was totally planning on taking that shot when i had the chance. that park is pretty rad and the lighting lately has been pretty good. then again if it isn't raining here its bright and sunny.
are you in any photo classes this quarter? perhaps i'll see you around or something. i'm in intermediate mw from 3-5:30 with zig. i have to go shoot this weekend so i'm thinking fake blood time since i've never tried it.

i was in savannah last year while we were coming back from a road trip to florida. and we had an afternoon and wandered around downtown savannah. We came to this park and i do have a few (non-infrared

Personnally I think that the IR explosion is great, just wish I had the cash for the equipment I have my eye on (just a matter of time), so that I could take part in it

This infrared has to be my favorite so far. I think it is a combination of the very layered, detailed composition and the tone and contrast of the piece. I love the brownish tinge that the image has and the foliage is so light yet detailed. There is such energy and personality in this piece that you can't help but stare at it again and again. While there is alot going on in te piece composition wise your eye moves easily across the page and it isn't cluttered or tiresome to look at. Exactly the opposite, it is a very soothing, intense and interesting piece that keeps you coming back time and time again. Excellent job...gotta fav this one.

The shot over-all is very good, but it would be nice to have some detail of the fountian itself, you know? Like the statue in the center, as well as the ones surrounding it. I think the infrared sometimes takes away from the details, simply because the contrast in the colors (as well as the colors themselves) is so fascinating.

That really looks rather good! The foreground branches have a nice glow about them, maybe the fence could have used a longer shadow to add more patterns on the ground.

yea i was thinking that about the shadows, too... the problem is at that location the trees can block a lot of the sunlight, preventing the infrared thing from "happening" ... maybe i'll try another day from the other side and see if that helps...
