A character (really) from my story .

The Column of Knowledge was one of the lesser deities associated with the creation of Kuraga . In particular, they served as a living repository of data for the creators, and thus possessed an appearance quite unusual among the other elder gods – with the rigid, stone-like tissue and cylindrical, mostly sessile body.

When Kuraga was fractured and banished from the Assembly, the Column happened to share the exact same fate. Their shards were dispersed into the cold outer void, where one on them had landed onto a surface of a lifeless planet. There, it regenerated into a full Column in its own right, seeded the planet with life, and eventually became the Stone Goddess of the fungal race of R’khaan .

The fate of all other shards remains unknown, but it can be presumed that they had become similar seeds of life as well.
