I really like it, with the examples and simple explainations... but I don't get the explaination on the last one.
So what you're saying is, don't use the last technique on the bottom page(the one in desert)?
I think it looks fine... it looks as if it's about to go into flashback, or time lapse. Can you please explain?

oh, sorry about the confusion, the example is fine. What i mean is don't do it on both sides, that wouldn't work, usually. lol

Oh, ok!
Your Making Manga and Speedline Tutorials are SO GOOD.
The examples and the simple explainations are really effective, they're so easy to understand. And I like how you're pointing out what's really important.

Nice. I see the second rolling effect a lot in manga, especially when about to introduce a flashback. The first rolling effect I see a lot when the original image would be too overwhelming to the eye. I have never in my life seen an animation effect in manga. I see it a lot in American comics but never in manga. Where have you seen it?

i have seen it in Yu Yu Hakosho before, and I personally use it as well.

This is a very good tutorial. I think this technique is very effective. Youve captured the essense of the moving picture technique in comics
