Description
This is my first pencil portrait I have ever attempted. I worked for a long time on the background and hair so far today. I am left handed so I have to work from the upper right down in a way so I don't smudge the drawing. Any comments or suggestions are welcome as I continue to work on this.Here is the image I am working from:

i love it, i cant wait for the finished picture, i like the way the hair seems to reflect the light, i could never have enough patience to draw all that hair lol just out of interest, how big is the picture because i couldn't tell from here

Thanks!I have finished the picture already. It's easier if you start thinking about the hair as lights and darks than drawing everything in by strand.
