I actually do like, quite what it is about it I don't know, probably the detail.
Anyhow, about that critique. Really good detail, but your proportioning is off. The pose is good but one I know I'd find hard to do. Temptation would be to elongate the torso, as you have done. The thighs are too long as well. The hand is convincing, and theres some decent foreshortening there too. The cloth work needs practice, and thats all you can do with cloth, kinda like with hands, which I still haven't got. I don't know if it woud help, but sometimes doing small sketches of the pose on a separate sheet of paper would help you figure out the proportions and positioning before the final piece. Try imagining the figure standing up and see if it looks right in your head. Have a quick look at a picture of a full standing figure if you're not quite sure what size which part is in comparison to another, you should be able to work it out. Nice st
