Admiral Timothy paced the bridge of the USS Federation. He knew if Starfleet Intelligence had got its facts wrong the small fleet on the edge of the Klingon Neutral Zone it would be considered an act of war by the Klingons. The ship upfront appears to be a Collins class cruiser prior to a major refit like The 1701 underwent in around 2271.

I sometimes want to kick the people who made the Original series, compared to TNG and DS9 the Starfleet seemed to be made up of solely one ship. All the others were so rare you would think the Federation only had the one starship.
