This is my constant source of anxiety, I only ever get half of this circumstancially, I have no firm support group as far as encouragement, approval, affirmation, validation, etc. unless it's something that pays obvious immediate dividends. Nothing I'm passionate about is met with any more than bare minimal positive reinforcement, and any attempt I make at expressing my discontent with this fact is met with bias and/or judgement, and I'm apparently immature for disagreeing that that's totally fine and normal, WHILE they expect positive reactions to them at every juncture. Now I'm developing a sense of apathy that I don't even want because it makes me a hypocrite. It also doesn't help that every discourse devolves into mutual frustration and arguing. I'll also admit I lose my calm early on, but that's only because it feels like I'm trying to get empathy from a brick wall. It also doesn't help that they like to play the "empathy mirror" and deflect my feelings and try to make me feel guilty for things that I have no responsibilty for when none of it has anything to do with what I was talking about, but they insist it has everything to do with it.
