Description
EDIT-READ FIRST: Due to the extreme labor behind making each of these, and the extremely limited number I'm willing to do, I am raising the price to $400.00 for a fully painted one, or $300.00 unpainted. The mold I made cost over $200.00, and will produce VERY LIMITED castings, and supplies for each piece are very costly. Due to the labor heavy process, each one takes about a week to complete or more depending how busy I am. I will not always offer these either, for example; Currently I can't make them because I'm busy preparing for Ren Fair (April 7th-May 20th 2012). Still, feel free to contact me and askI sell these! Please read on for details
EDIT ABOUT THE TOES!!:The toes are that way on purpose. I think it makes more sense for a werewolf to have 5 toes like a human (with the big toe placed the same for BALANCE when standing upright like us...not shrunken and pulled back), and an extra small superficial dewclaw. That way he has the 5 human digits for upright balance, with the extra small wolfy dewclaw. A werewolf is a fantasy/make believe creature...it's a monster, so it's okay to be left open for artistic liberties. I'm posting this cause I've had too many comments regarding "Oh the toes are wrong!". I can count dangit! lol...it's ON PURPOSE!
This is "Angela's Werewolf", my personal werewolf design/figure completed with a custom paint job for my friend Ken here on DA (AKA Long Paw) . I took weeks sculpting the original off and on between other projects, then molded it...and I cast, do the post casting work, primer, and paint these to sell. I'm limiting these to 30 pieces and have already sold 5. the price is steep for some, but actually very low considering this is a special art piece and extremely limited!
I charge $250.00 for an unpainted casting, and $300.00 for fully painted, as a custom (choose any paint design you want, or pick a pre-existing one you like!). I charge $15.00 shipping anywhere in the US, and accept Paypal, money orders, or checks. If you're interested in ordering one, just comment here or note me
I cast this in a high quality polyurethane resin with no filler, it's extremely durable! Then I use a good primer made for resins/plastics. Then I paint these using acrylics by hand, and apply a matte clear coat, and a glossy clear coat on areas like the eyes, teeth and claws. The figure is about 9 inches tall, and pretty wide/bulky. This is a very nicely sized statue for a desk, bookshelf or entertainment shelf. I have mine by my TV
This is a 100% original work of art, please do not use the design or images without asking me first. Artwork created every step of the way by me. I have my name and the year engraved into the base of the design, and I sign and state the number on the base as a finishing touch!

I have to say, the grey colouring looks really nice. A good contrast in tones and shadows makes the fur stand out really well. Top notch stuff again!

He looks great, my friend! Thank you so much for the custom paint job.
He will occupy a place of honor with my other wolfy stuff!

I'll agree about the toes; the Human Big toe is too dominant to be reduced to something minimal & of course the balance notion that everything that stands on two Feet must have all 5 Toes planted on ground. Just because something is on a Wolf doesn't meant it HAS to be on a Wolf. It's just how God made 'em.
Except for Tails, their always a must.
However, I don't really find Dew Claws that appealing, nor does it make any biological sense, hence my above statement. Probably too cliche, like it has 6-digits, or something.
But good job on the sculpt, nonetheless.

LOL...I love your icon and username XD!
Thanks for the thought out comment , I appreciate it! Yeah honestly I don't know the function of the dew claw if there is one, I know WHY it's called that...but I sculpted them onto my figure because I think they're a cool little extra detail for a monster! I think so many people are hung up on the anthro/furry type of style of werewolf where they're sorta romanticized (like how vampires have gotten). I like werewolves that look similar (very wolfy, not a wereterrier, lol), but wanted to add a little detail that looks wrong and monstrous....as if it's taken on all the human digits but the wolf is still breaking through even down to the dewclaw
. I hmmmned and harrrred over whether or not to sculpt them too because I knew not everyone would be a fan, lol. But I haven't seen it done before so I went for it XD!

I thanks thee, though I still think some Human elements are the more dominate, or something, but that's just my biological research on em.
PS. Zombies like White Meat, Dark Meat & ANY other Meat.

Thanks but..GRRR...I feel like I need to put a toe description on every one >_<;;...

Thanks for the comment and fave though . Not trying to be snippy, it's just a pet peeve when people comment negatively on the toes when I made it that way on purpose (as if I didn't count while I was sculpting or something, lol...I know my animal and human anatomy fairly well).

i understand. it still lookes EPIC!
food for thought on your next sculpture- maybe oversized paws would look cool. they would definitely make some scary tracks to be found in the woods at night > MUAHAHHAAHHAHA

Thanks!! XD
Anatomically though, the feet and hands are already a bit over-sized...any bigger and he'd be an anime character ! I prefer more realistic to exaggerated most of the time, unless it's a cartoon character
