Description Okay..sorry guys I know I keep taking pics of her and they all look similar, lol...this one came out so clear though, and it conveys her size well since she's perching on my thumb...so I thought I'd share . At full size she should get to be about an inch long. Currently she is thriving, eating well, made a little silk web, and has been nice and calm when I handle her! Sometimes she'll get a little jumpy at first, but she always settles down quick, and never jumps so much that I feel like she'll get away or get lost  . She's pretty easy to hold and has shown no signs of aggression, awesome little pet! I can't stop doting on the little thing !

For anyone wanting to buy one (they are so cheap too!)...this is the site I got her from, just make sure you read their care instructions to make sure it's a good pet for you before buying www.phids.net/

This photo was taken by me (with my free hand ), please do not use without my permission. I apologize for the blech looking dry skin of my knuckle, but hey as an artist my hands need washing a lot and get beat up *shrugs*.

In spite of being an arachnophobic, I think she's so adorable <3

OH a jumping spider. Those are a common spider in Colorado, most of them here are black with the white spots but I saw one with green fangs one time. They live in the mailbox slots (where you would throw the outgoing mail). I normally just leave them alone and they are super smart! They get out of the mailbox when I open it, while I deliver all the mail they just sit somewhere nearby and watch me and as soon I close the whole thing up, they just shwoop right back into the outgoing slot. Cutest little bugs ever! The most common spiders in Colorado are those, wolf spiders, orb weaving spiders (poisonous), and I've seen one black widow (swiftly killed with dog spray). Brown recluses are supposed to be here too but I've never one. The biggest wolf spider I've ever seen was about two inches long Not including his legs. BIG. Actually the orb weaving spiders get about that big too but they scare me, lightning fast scary!

I know she's amazing! XD!! Check this site out! www.phids.net/ you can buy one here too.  They are very easy to care for, I keep her in an upside-down Parmesan container, with a piece of blue maskign tape on the inside (I was told they like to attach a web to that..but her's is more at the top of the container). You poke or drill air holes through the bottom of the plastic container and turn it upside down  so it because the top (where the spider will go), this is a good method because any spider poop or insect remains will fall to the lid...which you can unscrew and easily clean without disturbing the web . And you spritz a TINY amount of water in every couple days...I usually use a small plastic water bottle cap with a soaked paper towel in it at the bottom, so she always has the option of water though. For feeding..since she's still young, she eats baby crickets! You can buy feeder crickets at most pet shops for pretty cheap....I keep all my crickets in a seperate container in their egg cartons, and feed the crickets rinsed (in case of pesticides) carrots and salad (or buy flukers cricket food for the crickets). This "gut loads" the crickets with nutrients that pass to the spider. When they're full grown/big enough they can handle medium sized crickets .

That being said..they are very low maintenance! I feed her two baby crickets every couple days or so (twice a week usually). I also keep her container close enough to a window so she can see daylight and know what time it is ...just don't have them where they can get roasted!

I know right?! XD...I can't stop smiling when I hold her and look at that bright eyed fuzzy face, lol.  Sad how so many people probably don't even know these amazing little things exist!
