Nei does another excellent job, but I'm missing the leather feathering and the wing textures from the original inks. This is interesting. Where the seated figure seemed to lack modelling or rendering, this style of coloring (me trying to use North American English, here) meshes well, but the other figure loses some very interesting details. And you two, David and you, draw faces in a similar manner. Was this on purpose, at the layout stage, or is it just coincidence?

Well I had to ink the cover, so I made some changes to the face on David's by adding lash detail, fixing the lips, adding a little bit of detail to the brows, etc. Other than that anything else is coincidental

Yeah, I suppose what you said just describes it all. Each stage had something different than the other, I guess. It's funny, in a sketchbook, I hate seeing colour and Black and White comparisons, as it's a waste of paper space, but seeing these 3 stages was fun in its own way.
Any details out on the sketchbook yet? In case I actually want to flip through the pages and check out what's inside?
