It really is living, when you get to its 'core' you can see billions of those worm like entities that make up hunters' bodies.

Sometimes I like to just shoot the legs and knock it down a bunch of times, get on and ride it for 10 minutes. Then I blow up the power core, get on a hornet, and watch the fireworks.

I remember fighting my first Scarab well. It was a coop, and my teammate and I reacted something like this.

"Holy shit, it's a goddamn mech!"

"Looks like a zoid, maybe a Death-Stinger with fewer legs and a smaller tail. Doesn't look like it shot us with a Charged Particle Gun, though."

"Who 'cares' what it's shooting, so long as it doesn't hit us!"
