Description
May is one of the best months for shooting insects, because right now they're basically everywhere. Well, today was really windy day, which is not ideal, but I still got some interesting stuff. This is very unusually looking sap beetle (Pityophagus ferrugineus), which is another out of fairly large group of beetles living under bark of conifers and hunting larvae of bark beetles.
If you're wondering what those yellow spheres are, that's pollen. Conifers are blooming and everything gets coated in nice layer of pollen very quickly, my camera included.
