Description

This is Kleidocerys resedae or birch catkin bug and as their name suggests, they live on birch trees. They have several generations per year, last one overwinters and emerges next year in spring.

I have just realized that one of my first succesful stacked pictures was of this species. Looking at the two shows just far my stacking has gotten and I'm pleased with it. It's crisper, it has the entire animal in frame this time, it's just better in every way. Is it going to do better in terms of views? I don't know, many pictures I value highly, don't do that well and others I was almost ready to toss in the bin do better. It's just funny little observation of mine.
