Ha ha ha. This was so me. I didn't even know what Pottermore was until someone mentioned on Facebook. So I decided to casually check it out, found the question for day 2 displayed on the main page, answered the question, got my email. Sorted. Back to drinking tea.
Later I found out about how 'hard' it was to get in lol.

lol - If you look in my closet I have a total of 2 red shirts, but eight green shirts and I don't own a piece of gold jewelry. Plus, I have strong ambitions and I have manipulative tendencies...I just don't think those are qualities that are common in Gryffindor.
(But I really want to see the Slytherin common room!)

T________T I see. Yes, my friend wanted slytherin too, and got Gryffindor. She has a shirt for every house BUT Gryffindor.
Our common room is great! Skulls on the mantle of the fireplace, a broom stick in the corner with some swords, and large windows looking under the lake. Since we are under the school, we are below water level!

Actually it was worse for us Pottermore fans in the UK. Have you ever tried to stay up all night until 9 in the morning?

You know, when people over here were complaining, I *did* think that: Well,if Pottermore opens on July 31st, don't the people in the UK have to stay up all night and well into the morning waiting for that clue? At least in the states you just wait til three in the morning, sign in and then go to bed for a little bit til noon! So yeah, I feel for you.

XD That is totally true. My friend had to constantly message me (my computer makes an annoying dingy sound when I get a message) to keep me awake until Pottermore opened and we could get accounts.

Exactly! I don't understand why they even had separate days if they weren't going to use them to stagger the emails. Logically, it should be first come first served, like they said it would be...and now I'm upset

I don't know. One explanation is that they don't have it structured so that their systems can identify between the individual days' entrants. At this point, it would be nice to get in on Sept1, because that's when Hogwarts officially starts.
(They need to give me time to get outfitted with a wand and get all my supplies in Diagon Alley!

Yeah, that's probably it. I hope we both get in soon! I think if I have to wait all the way to the end of September, or just before the normal registration opens, I may have to get very overdramatic and die or something. I really don't like waiting!

Heh, the list of Pottermore Deviants is growing (one of them is named Slytheindorhybrid and they were sorted into Ravenclaw - bet they're having a bit of an identity crisis! XD) I have no pity for anyone who complains about Pottermore if they've already gotten in.

That's awesome! My friend, The-Apiphobic-Artist, has already gotten in, and she has yet to do much or really be on it that long, which bothers me to no end because she got in and isn't even really attempting to enjoy it!! She hasn't even GOTTEN to sorting yet!!
I'm a Gryffinclaw by my own decision, so I hope I get into Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. But the others would be okay too...I'm beyond really minding so long as I get into pottermore!!!

I know!! She said she was going to go through book by book, like you said, and she just keeps putting it off! Whereas I have basically been sitting around with nothing I'd rather do but be on Pottermore, and I CAN'T! 
Haha, good plan. I think Slytherin is completely awesome, which baffles my friends since I say I'm a Gryffinclaw and there is supposed to be some big rivalry going on. But Slytherin is just too amazing! I mean, they have their own secret chamber and a giant murderous snake related to their house!

Yeah, plus the guy who created it could talk to snakes! He was really the only one who sported a peculiar ability! Also, JK Rowling herself said that she thought Gryffindor and Slytherin were like brother houses. Just, Gryffindor was a bit louder about what they do! XD

Exactly! Gryffindor is just like...you know, the rowdy drunk cousin who everyone just sort of loves because he makes parties hilariously fun, while Slytherin is the mad scientist evil genius cackling in the basement and planning world domination while pretending to just want to solve world hunger. Only...not so dramatic, I suppose XD

Wow, I can actually picture that in my head...I know manipulation isn't thought of as a good thing, but it can be used that way. I've often used my powers of manipulation to help my friends out and give them ideas. Plus, if you ever want revenge - have a Slytherin in your corner!

J.K. Rowling is staggering the e-mails sent to the beta-testers. A small group of beta-testers were able to enter the site today, but the majority hasn't yet. Don't worry if you haven't gotten your e-mail yet. J.K. Rowling will continue sending out beta-testing welcome letters all the way through August up until the end of September. I haven't gotten my welcome letter either and I'm a beta-tester as well. These next few weeks will test our patience, but it'll be worth it for the prize at the end... early entrance into Pottermore!
