See, now when I first got SAI, English/Japanese versions I was all like.......wah?!! I eventually learnt through trial and error of what does what. Its always so daunting reading the help files what comes with these programs -- all you want is to just know what does what! As well as a few tips.
So, if you've never even used SAI, here is the program that makes me look so bad yet so colourful xD (if you've seen my gallery then you'll know, lulz) ~(^ - ^)~

It may not necessarily be good in terms of length, but I hope it helps, at least for everyone know has no clue what all the buttons do.

i just got sai so this is very helpfull and it a nice and simple to understand the other tuts i been looking at confused my iccle brain XD

how do you make the lines fade at the ends O_O.. I just spent $50 on this thing XD

Fade? That'd be using the pencil tool ;3
If you play around with the density size (under the tools area) you may get the effect you want. Alernativly, click on help/config at the top, click options and play with the pressure on the pen, or if you're using a mouse change the drift a little ;3
It takes a little practice to get the flicks' at the end of the line.
You can even take the eraser and gently (on a low opacity) and rub it out.

I'm still trying to figure things out lol, like how to highlight thei area i want, with the magic wand tool thing,i want to colour a lineart by =Teruchan

Hmm. Okay, Basically you go to the area with all the tools, and above those would be a spyglass, a wand, a square and a 4 pointed thingy. You wanna select the wand.
After clicking the wand, a menu should appear below the tools section.
There is a selection mode, precise (for line art you drew on a transparent layer), rough (I don't use that) and colour difference (in case you coloured but then decided you wanna change the colour). If you're colouring someone else's lineart, and the layer the lineart is on is set to multiply, choose colour difference.
There's a transp bar too, that'll change how much you select. (i.e. lineart and everything, or just areas within the lineart.
