Description
Here is my fourth image for the #SeasonChallenge representing the Summer season. I just took this picture recently. I had never ever seen this type of beetle before and had to get a picture of it. I looked it up later on and it's some sort of Milkweed Beetle and part of the Long Horn Beetle family. It's also apparently harmless to milkweed plants. That's good to know. I know that there is another type of bug, called the Large Milkweed Bug and they are also black and red, but they are PESTS. They ate my entire milkweed plant that I had bought at a garden nursery a few years ago and sadly killed it. They ate the entire thing to the stem. Anyway, I thought this one looked pretty kool with its horns and I'm happy to know that this type of beetle is harmless. And the plant it's on is a Wild Honeysuckle Bush by the way.
