Description
...ooh! so naughty of them!------------------------
Technique:
This was created using digital collage technique that involves the layering of many photos and textures and much brushing over, to create a new unique image. Essentially its like good old fashioned collage... only it's done in photoshop, and extensively repainted.
Many photos are used - a single face can be composed of several photographic features.
Stock is artist's own or released on the creative commons.

Great collage. The means aren't that important, it's the final effect that matters And this work looks just great.

the expressions in this are wonderful!! hush hush, we are doing something soooo bad (although its so relatively innocent!), and its given the moment that extra "spark" of excitement

Hehe. Very good.
Somehow reminds of those old "Tiny" books. known as "Martine" in France, I believe. Published by Casterman.
(only the old ones though, the new ones are not very good)

I love it when people love it.
Cause it's awkward when they hate it

You don't find awkward situations funny?

meluseena In reply to ChrisCayton [2007-10-12 16:14:09 +0000 UTC]
no, they just make me wish they weren't happening.
Maybe they're funny in retrospect.
If people weren't so hung up about keeping up appearances, there wouldn't be any awkward moments.

aw, they are so entertaining though! Maybe its exploiting other peoples modesty or uh closed mindedness or whatever but still . . . . there is nothing better than that . . . ."huh . . . what do I say, was that a joke? It wasn't really funny . . " look on peoples faces

this is nice for many reasons. one of which is that it is not defined by its media; that is, it does not look digital.
th opposite of A. Warhol, using digi-art to make fine art (he used fine art tools to make "digital" art)
so to speak.
good work, you are a favorite to watch.

meluseena In reply to racingzeno [2007-10-11 03:26:53 +0000 UTC]
thanks! I sometimes think I approach digital art the same way i would when I create an acrylics painting - the layering process, the smudging, etc, it's all the same. Collage is so much fun because it's liberating without forsaking that special 'look' of it I love so much, the ones that makes it vibrate at a level of realism and unrealism.
Thanks for your nice words
