Ooh! This reminds me of that one time (I'm sure there are LOTS more) where something very similar happens to Supergirl.

She and Power Girl are fighting these aliens, and one of them traps SG in a gravity sphere (I think that's what it was, anyway...) which, of course, contained a sedative...

Hmm, I'd never actually encountered that Supergirl one. But to me it seems like it's a homage/rip-off/tip of the hat to the classic Wonder-Woman #257 where the multi man traps Wonderwoman in a bubble that quickly fills with sleeping gas!
It's also on the sleepy comics site for Wonderwoman under Gas, and is certainly worth a look if you haven't seen it:-

I especially love the way she keels over in a bow like stance, with her arms & head falling forward and her star spangled ass presenting itself straight up in the air! LOL! Yep, those old time artists knew what they were doing all right. 
(Not gonna ask Member9 to do one though as I'd bet after his Feminum Mystique epic he's probably burned out on amazon sleepy perils! LOL!)
