Description I made these quill pens for my wedding so people could sign the guestbook with them.

So yeah, obviously these are not the kind of quill pens that require ink pots. I don't think my guests would've liked it very much if they were

I don't know if Michaels is still selling the quills, but I bought them on clearance for $3 each.

And the link to the ink refills on Amazon is here: [link]

Hope you guys find this helpful!

I know there are a lot of them on eBay. They come in all kinds of colors: www.ebay.com/sch/Craft-Pieces-…

If you're looking to get them faster (instead of buying from China), you can check the "US only" option and the feathers are still well-priced. This one offers several different sizes in lots of 10 (but they're all black-colored): www.ebay.com/itm/10PCS-Wholesa…

Hmm, it just occurred to me that these feathers don't have very long shafts toward the bottom...You could always buy the 12-14 inch size and then trim off some of the bottom feathers so that they're not in the way when you wrap it. and then there should still be plenty of feathers left to look nice.

oh i did forget to ask, what type of adheasive did you use for the ribon? is hot glue ok to use? like low temp hotglue?

I didn't use any adhesive. I just wrapped the ribbon around tightly and used the twist tie to keep it in place. I'm not very familiar with using hot glue, so I don't know how well that would work.

I've always wanted a quill! ... I guess technically I want another quill since my friend accidentally left his in my bag after a convention and I got to use it until school started. Then I had to give it back.

Thanks for making this tutorial!
