Description For

Name: Zylraxis Doth'Reyr (Zill-rack-ziss Doth-ray-ihr)

Alias: Knight

Gender: Male

Age: 231

Species: Teldaran

System of Origin: Tovara System

A solar system containing the habitable planets of Rethlon, Toelved, Yllvol, and Cerellin, as well as the gas giant Aerah, and the dwarf planet Haragin. Multiple space stations which serve as hubs can also be found throughout the Tovara System, the largest and most popular of these being the Tovara Spire Spaceport (a.k.a The Space Spire).

Home Planet: Toelved

A frigid planet dominated by mountains, Toelved is the home planet of the Teldara as well as the political and cultural center of the Teldaran Empire. Temperatures are often well below freezing, thus making the planet inhospitable to most creatures unless they have protection against the elements. Blizzards are also frequent features on the planet as well as avalanches within the mountains. Such climates however have given rise to species of extremely hardy animals and even plant life that are somehow capable of surviving amidst the freezing temperatures.

Even with the planet's harsh environment however, the Teldaran people have tamed the planet and turned it into a shining gem of the Teldaran Empire. With their advanced technology and psionic abilities, the Teldara have been able to construct cities within the mountains of Toelved's landscape equipped with city-wide barriers so as to protect them from natural hazards. All cities are also equipped with climate control systems that regulate the temperature within them and ensure they're not nearly as cold as the frozen wastes of the planet.

Tovara Spire Spaceport (a.k.a the Space Spire):

One of the space stations located within the Tovara System, as well as the largest and most popular space station in the solar system, the Tovara Spire Spaceport was constructed as a joint effort between the spacefaring species within the Tovara system so as to strengthen the diplomatic and cultural bonds between the races.

The Space Spire is a diverse and cosmopolitan place that provides a multitude of services and opportunities. From being an essential hub for ship repairs and refueling to even having a residential sector for those who desire housing on the space station, the Space Spire can offer almost anything.

The station is divided into large districts which in turn are divided even more by sectors.

The districts of the Space Spire include:

  • The Commerce District, where the shops and traders can be found

  • The Security District, which houses the TSDF or Tovara Spire Defense Force

  • The Recreational District, which houses many of the station's leisurely activities or spaces for such things

  • The Ingenuity District, where many of the engineers, scientists, and industrial laborers work;

  • The Residential District, which contains housing on the space station;

  • The Spaceport, where all ships enter and exit the Space Spire and can also receive repairs, refueling, and other services for spacefaring vessels;

  • And finally the Spire Core, which is the very center of the spire. It also contains many interstellar government services such as embassies for various species and leads to the Gem of the Spire, where the councilors who govern over the Spire reside.

Personality:

  • Judgmental

  • Stoic

  • Insecure

  • Dependent

  • Zealous

  • Persistent

  • Obedient

  • Compassionate

  • Emotional

  • Honorable

  • Courteous

As a devout and obedient follower of the Executor’s Code, Zylraxis’ actions and morals are strongly influenced by the ethics of his order almost to a zealous extent due to how strictly he follows it. In many cases, this makes him a very honorable and courteous individual who is willing to devote himself to protecting the innocent and delivering justice unto the guilty. However, his strict adherence to the Code and living much of his life under it has also made him extremely judgmental of those who are not convinced it is the right way of life, and he will often frown upon those whose actions are contrary to it, though he will not always voice his opinions.

Zylraxis is also a very persistent individual who will seldom stray from any sort of goal or objective he's set for himself. To him, completing the mission is of utmost importance, and this is clearly reflected in his strong sense of resolve.

Behind Zylraxis’ strict adherence to the Code and his stoic façade however lies an insecure individual who is scared of defying authority and losing those close to him. While he may seem like a solitary individual at first glance, he’s actually rather dependent on others being present for him to take care of or to confide in.

For those who do manage to pierce his brusque exterior, Zylraxis is actually a very compassionate individual at heart (or in his case, hearts). He finds all of his friends to be extremely important to him, and he will always try to accommodate anything for those he deems close. Though some may think him to be an emotionless husk of a being, Zylraxis is actually quite the opposite and is a very emotional person who's surprisingly in tune with the feelings of others. However, he's trained himself to bottle up his own. With a bit of time and patience however, people may eventually see a softer side to the intimidating Executor.

History:

Born the second son to the baron of Thul’shaar, Zylraxis was expected from birth to pursue a career in the Teldaran armed forces to some extent as per Teldaran tradition amidst the nobility. As he discovered his affinity for combat (and an interest in war action films) at a young age, Zylraxis quickly developed a passion to join the famed Order of Executors.

The young Teldaran quickly pursued combat training, at first with lessons provided by his mother before moving on to learning from official combat instructors.

Shortly after reaching adulthood, Zylraxis enrolled in the Teldaran Armed Forces where he quickly excelled in martial combat and rose through the ranks. It was also during this time he would meet Rel'Daris, a Teldaran with exceptional psychokinetic abilities even for their kind. While the two of them may have had rather differing personalities, they soon became close friends during their time in the armed forces. Evetually, Zylraxis, as well as Rel'Daris, received a recommendation to join the Order of Executors by their commanding officers after several years of service.

After entering the Order of Executors, Zylraxis along with other recruits was subject to the harsh and uncompromising training regimen of the Order. His body, mind, and soul were trained not to break and to give everything towards the preservation of Teldaran law. Zylraxis' training culminated in the memorization of the Executor's Code, a series of tenets that all Executors must follow in the line of duty.

After completing basic training for the Order, Zylraxis was placed by his superiors in training for those who specialized in martial combat. Meanwhile, his close friend Rel'Daris was placed with those who excelled in using their psychokinetic abilities. It was during his time in specialized training Zylraxis discovered an aptitude for the esoteric Teldaran weapon known as the Kol'vir, or gunblade, which had the capability to convert between an energy sword and a firearm.

For decades, Zylraxis loyally served the Executor's Order and was continually deployed on missions throughout the Tovara system. After showing exceptional leadership in one particular mission with his teammates, which included his close friend Rel'Daris, Zylraxis was eventually promoted to lead his own hand-picked team into operations. Amongst this team were a collection of soldiers that he believed were not only incredibly skilled warriors, but also able to handle intense operations. One of these warriors of course was Rel'Daris, who he appointed second-in-command.

For a time, Zylraxis led his team in numerous missions for the Order-

But then, one mission changed everything…

This particular mission, Zylraxis' team was assigned to eliminate a former military outpost that had been seized by the Dar'shamaal, a rebel group of Teldara who sought to overthrow what they believed was an oppressive government. The mission proceeded as usual, with Zylraxis' team of operatives sweeping through the outpost and killing any rebels they encountered.

During the course of the mission however, little did Zylraxis know that one of his teammates hesitated at some point. One of his teammates couldn't bear to kill a particular rebel who looked to be just barely through their teenage years, and so they pretended to kill them when they truly let them go.

While his superiors and Zylraxis were oblivious to this act for some time, High Command of the Order of Executors eventually intercepted messages from the rebels after hacking into their communications. Among the intercepted messages, a report from one of the rebels' outposts indicated that a survivor was able to escape, the same outpost Zylraxis' team had been sent to wipe out previously.

High Command was infuriated by this report and demanded that Zylraxis and the rest of his team answer for their transgression. Zylraxis however was unaware of who the culprit was.

And so one by one, Zylraxis and the rest of his team members were to be interrogated by their superiors in an attempt to discover the culprit. During the course of the interrogations, the culprit was finally discovered...

It was Rel'Daris, Zylraxis' closest friend, the person he thought he could trust completely. He couldn't bear to kill a rebel who was so young, and so he let them go in an act of mercy.

Zylraxis was utterly infuriated. He felt betrayed, yet also conflicted. To think this was someone so close to him, someone who was essentially his whole world…He felt Rel'Daris betrayed him, as well as the rest of the Order of Executors, and the two of them were quick to have a terrible argument. That didn't stop him from being utterly terrified and sorrowful for his teammate's fate however. Rel'Daris' failure to complete the mission was seen as benefiting an enemy of the state and therefore a way of potentially sabotaging the government. As a result, he was charged with the crimes of high treason and espionage and summarily found guilty of all charges.

The punishment for his crimes: death.

His death however would not just be at the hands of anyone, but at the hands of Zylraxis.

After spending a precious and final five minutes with each other, Zylraxis was ultimately forced to execute Rel'Daris, the person who he had known so closely.

And so he did, with a gunshot to the heart and tears streaming down his face.

In the aftermath of Rel'Daris' execution, Zylraxis found himself questioning everything. Did he really just kill a person who was so close to him in cold blood? Was this all because Rel'Daris showed an act of mercy, even though it was to an enemy? Was this the system he was supporting?

Eventually, Zylraxis found himself unable to support the same system that sentenced Rel'Daris to death, and he deserted the Order of Executors in the middle of the night by stealing a small ship.

Traveling to a space station within the Tovara System known as the Space Spire, Zylraxis attempted to start a new life for himself and sought to escape the Order of Executors, who would be quick to execute him or at least imprison him for life due to desertion. For a time, Zylraxis worked for the space station's security force. With time, he could ideally save enough money to go to a planet outside of the Teldaran Empire's jurisdiction and finally escape the Order of Executors and perhaps even the ghosts of his past.

Little did he know however an opportunity to escape would come to him in a different way when the Penumbra happened to dock at the Space Spire. Seeing an opportunity to both escape and perhaps still do some good for the galaxy, Zylraxis stepped up to join the crew of the Penumbra.

Inventory:

  • A standard issue bodysuit given to all members of the Teldara Armed Forces. This bodysuit utilizes Teldaran hard light technology that allows users to "store" and change into various outfits on the fly. Additionally, it also possess temperature regulation capabilities to help wearers survive in hotter climates.

  • An amulet with the Mark of the Creator, the god of the Teldaran religion. Zylraxis is seldom seen without it.

  • A set of Executor armor

  • A set of standard issue Tovara Spire Defense Force Armor

  • A comm-link, which acts as a portable communication device

Weapon: (To be unlocked in EVENT TWO...)

Extras:

  • Click here for a link to Zylraxis' playlist!

  • He's 9 ft. 2 in. / 279 cm. tall

  • Possesses the ability to use basic telekinesis to push, pull, and lift small to medium sized objects as well as people.

  • Possesses basic telepathy and empathy skills like all Teldara. As a result, Zylraxis is capable of communicating telepathically with others as well as detecting what emotions a person is feeling.

  • Due to Teldara being able to psychically bond with each other through touch, Zylraxis won't let people touch him, as it is considered a very intimate gesture in Teldaran culture.

  • Like all Teldara, Zylraxis is able to see on the infrared spectrum, allowing him to sense the heat signatures of organisms and the environment around him. However, he is unable to see organisms or objects who naturally have lower temperatures with his thermal vision.

  • Can survive in extremely cold temperatures like all Teldara due to being able to insulate heat very well. However, he is also more susceptible and sensitive to the effects of heat as a result.
