A cheerful and slightly naive youth with the ability to summon several guardian creatures.
He´s the grandson of the current shrine guardian of Jinja no Hikari and learned his abilitys in magics and summoning from his grandfather. He has a strong bond with Ryu and trains martial arts with him. Also he assists Ryu on his mercenary and monsterhunting jobs.
Despite his combat skills he is a kind and peaceful character who dislikes fighting and is the most cheerful and positive person in the party.
Later he accidentally comes in contact with the high entity Infinis and gains its power (or eventually gets controlled by it).

His main ability is the traditional guardians art of summoning. He can summon any creature he made a pact with (mostly different elemental guardians) by using his summoner bracelet. With every pact he gets a special bond stone, which is inserted in a revolving ring on the bracelet. By turning one of the stones in top position and charging it with mana, he can summon the creature he got the stone from.
He also learned some thunder and earth based spells, but if it comes to combat he prefers melee combat. Most of his techniques are block/dogde and counter moves and when he activates one of the bond stones during his attack he can unleash different magic melee attacks with added power or elements (for example he can use his torchblow technique by using Salamanders power). This works unarmed or with a weapon. His combat staff actually consist of three pieces that are connectet by a expandable chain, it can be used as staff or flail, and is also effective on mid range.
Also he uses different hand thrown weapons like smoke bombs or frag grenades.

also it´s the first time i tried real shadows on a body (and clothes)
I tried out some of GIMPs functions, the flames in the background and on his arm are rendered with a special filter.
btw, the summoning he initiates in the picture is the fire guardian Salamander
