Uhhh...so not much of a response to my last real mixed media thing, but you know what, that's just too bad, because I'm still doing it, so you can kiss my tape and construction paper! So that's what this issss...construction paper and tape and a piece of a photograph (the moon) plus my faithful Prisma Colors...Yessir.Related content

my my, this really amazed me. I couldnt tell whats going on and its very intimidating. the first have made me feel small and insignificant, and the bottom makes me nostalgic and cold. :33 I think it would look very different irl. but elliemeeshmee.. .. . . . . do more mixed media it confouds and confuses me! i love it.

This is really quite amazing...I love the use of all of the different media(which you mentioned). It was very creative to use the tape like that, and the photograph too.
And, what's even more interesting is that I couldn't tell that it was tape which was giving it the neat effect...the sort of 'glossed' or, paradoxically, 'cloudy,' look. Using the different media really made the piece work nicely as a whole, as wlel as creating something unique.
I love the boy too, his face, his expression. He looks so unhappy, as if catching the fish has brought him only sadness.
The colours are really great too, on the boy himself, but also on other parts of the image.
The small balls of light give it lovely, ghostly look, which seems to work well with the image of the barren forest, and of winter itself. The bigger round parts, more a part of the colouring than individual parts of the picture, look great too. ^^

I think it's lovely. I only wish my prismas were so faithful to me. Oh well I'm learning. I love how you can see the tape, but at the same time you don't know which is tape and what's paper. Wonderful. Oh my, I just realized I'm probably babbling because I have nothing to say I like it so much.
