More of my friends...Now for a short story:
"Now, don't be working too late, alright?"
"Okay then Hon, I won't."
I shuffled through all the assorted papers on my desk, adjusted the desklamp, and sighed. The only reason that I'd been working late, was this new case that I had been given.
Naturally, as a doctor I was supposed to be prepared for pretty much anything, but this was a definite deviation from the norm. It posed a rather compelling problem for me as a medical professional.
I pulled up a file from the file cabinet. Adjusting the lamp with my tail, I opened it. On the top there were pictures of two of my clients, Kit and Fenier. I smiled, a sweet couple, they had been my clients for a while. However, I put their infromation aside, and went to the two others that remained, Holly and Dolly.
They are curious creatures, and I first had a sense of that when Kit allowed me my first glance at them. Of course, such an amazing medical phenomena itself is stupefying. However, noting the twins' first reactions to each other was ever the more bizarre. I noted that one side would pull in one direction, while the other would go in the opposite direction. No matter what, they always went in the opposite direction, which made it all the more confusing for them, at about 2 weeks, and with their eyes closed, to comprehend their situation. And so it went. Once they passed out of infancy, I noticed their personalities. Holly, as she was called was, always had a docile and passive personality, always kind and sweet to everyone she came across. Never have I heard her say any ill about anyone. However, she cried very easily, and was very sensitive about many topics. Never the type to argue. However, the other half, Dolly......She was a very violent and argumentative child. Constantly fighting, not only with her sister, but with her parents too. However, she was never afraid to talk about her emotions, and had often the nerve to stand up to her peers when holly didn't. Rarely did she show a softer side, but there was another part of her. I noticed that she had a very hard time making and keeping friends. To help with her problems, I gave her a stuffed toy to see how she'd react.........I sometimes think that it was too successful, she still carries it around................................
And so, here's another bio for my characters. This is actually a fairly old pic...
