This is great. I remeber in high school I would take my pin and try to draw elaborate collages such as these but I wasn't half as good as you. But they are what sparked my interest in trying to find a medium that I could be as crative as I truely wanted to be. Keep up the good work.

this is awesome! It's just like a project that I had to do in 8th grade, only a lot better! Totally cool, kinda psychadellic, I likes!

Wow... there is so much going on in this piece that I'm constantly afraid I'm missing something.
I like the touch added by the bits of what seems to be architectural designs, combined with the more wild aspect of the creatures... I keep seeing new birds...flowers...faces.... masterfully put together.

Abstract and seemingly random, and yet such a great beauty. The curves in the piece have sent my eyes in many circles around this, looking through the details...and more and more faces appear, the closer I look. The picture encompasses the features of animals, humans and even vegetables, and has merged them together remarkably well. Line art is sharp and striking, and the piece is very intriguing overall. Nice work...and it'll take lots of time to fully appreciate this piece.

this reminds me of native art from around my community. you're very good at it. i'd be interested in seeing it coloured if you do colour them?

Many people have suggested that I color them and I am learning to use my spiffy new software and tablet so that I can have a go at doing just that. Thank you

A lot of people have told me my work would be good colored in. I actually designed some stuff specially for coloring in, a long time ago. I considered joining the club on here that does that, where you provide line art and other people color them, but I'm not sure my style would be appreciated. I recently bought a Wacom tablet and am learning how to use it so I can have a go at some color work...
Anyway, glad you like it

wow, this is really neat, is the belly of a turtle there in the middle? I could stare at this for hours!

Metaphormoose In reply to decay1134 [2005-02-02 21:16:41 +0000 UTC]
I hadn't intended it as the belly of a turtle, no, but I have often been surprised by what people see in my drawings. I often don't know what something is until I've drawn it. If you want to see it that way, perfect. Thank you for the compliment

If you like this one so much, you should perhaps look at a couple of the ones on the first page of my gallery - they're old but very busy, like this one, and there are some busy ones in my scraps gallery also, if you have time and are interested

Very nice drawing. It reminds me of native-american totem pole art the way that every item kind of flows into the next. Very soothing image.

That's the first time anyone has described my drawing as 'soothing' - cool. Thanks for the thoughtful comment

reminds me quite a bit of stuff I have done in the past. I have one up, it's kindof a bad example, but it's titled 'WHOA' if you want to check it out. I have since stopped drawing in that style, and have tried to train myself with anatomy (which isn't near as much fun, let me tell you) and such... but this is really REALLY wonderful. Excellent work.
