I really like your color choices in this and the stance is perfect. The tip of the hat is an especially cool little detail

thank you It was one of those few pictures where I had a very clear image in my mind of how it should look. Are you a fan of Neil Gaiman's Death?

No I haven't read that one yet, though my friends keep pulling my arm about getting it. Money is just tight now that gas has gone up again *grumble*. I did get a Bookstore giftcard though so... perhaps I see Neil Gaiman in my future

The Mistress Reaper is looking quite dapper and upbeat. Entirely belies her long standing reputation for being so grim. Perhaps her devil may care prance and hail fellow well met tip o' the hat might suggest that she has had yet another productive day at the office -- all of her production targets having been met.

yeah, I think she originally turned up in his Sandman comic novels but they are hard to come by and expensive. He has a couple spin of books about Death since she was so popular. He played with the idea that instead os a big skeleton with a cloak death should be a happy goth girl, who actually loves life and gets to live one day a century as a normal girl in order to appreciate how precious life is.

Quite interesting. i have often imagined death as an alluring Temptress myself. As much as people attest out loud of how they shrink from the coming of the messenger of mortality, so many of us seem to live our lives as if we are all too anxious to see death come a'callin' That suggests to me that eternity must well be a silky smooth, tremendously attractive femme fatale luring us with her vibrant wiles ever closer to the brink; and i am not so sure that were we there at the edge not leaning over quite far enough, that she would not press her cane in the small of our back and make that last shove that drops us into the abyss. Of course only when nobody else might be looking.
