History:
Link was born and raised in Kakariko Village. Growing up he was an only child and often got into trouble for his behaviors. He was raised mostly by his mother as his father's work as a blacksmith tended to keep him busy. Link took an interest in learning to wield a sword from a young age due to his father's profession. As a child he'd been told by his father that those serving in Hyrule Castle were heroic and selfless, giving their all to keep peace in the kingdom. Link's father's praise of these people and the fact he supplied them with weapons made the boy strive to be like them and help keep peace. As Link grew up he trained in swordsmanship with the goal of helping Hyrule. He liked the idea of being considered a hero like the men and women his father supplied. When he was old enough, Link bid his parents farewell and began to journey around Hyrule. As he became exposed more to the world beyond Kakariko, Link found that it was a lot different than he'd expected. Ideal ways to handle things didn't always work and he'd improvise and work with more realistic approaches, ignoring collateral damage as he believed that getting the jobs done was what truly mattered. Unfortunately, this landed him in trouble over and over until he became convinced that no one appreciated the help and he was a failure. Link still traveled, but he turned his goal to perfecting his sword skills, something he actually had a knack for.

His travels keep him busy and he spends most of his time alone, therefore hurting his social skills. His lifestyle gives him a great amount of freedom and he has very few worries if any about how he lives and appears to others. Link still retains a good heart and helps where he can to help maintain peace in Hyrule as he works on improving his skills. His methods of helping others unfortunately end up being misunderstood or seen as being harmful, which needless to say has him thrown in prison a lot. He manages to get free, spending his money to bail him out if he doesn't have a contact outside that he can get help from.

Plot History:
Once Princess Zelda was found she led a search effort for Link. This ended up with Link being faced by a group finding him in the Lost Woods. He was more than annoyed to be found hiding out in front of the Forest Temple. Through a talk with the group that found him, he began to see he wasn't going to be left alone. The man decided to listen to Platt who was leading in the conversations. In doing so he made it clear this wasn't going to be because they wanted him to, but rather it was his decision to go to get everyone to leave him alone. Link didn't believe he'd be able to pull the Master Sword from its pedestal anyway so as far as he saw it, he'd fail to get it and then just be left alone.

In the coming weeks he stayed with Impa, Princess Zelda and a few of their allies. Impa had sent elite operatives to scout ahead at Hyrule Castle and see what their opposition was like. Zelda complained that when the Castle fell to the enemy the forces protecting it were spread thin leaving the final assault to be overwhelming. Taking a hint from that, Link agreed with such a tactic and planned to reenact it to the best of their ability. Only this time it'd be a minor diversion rather than plans to take the castle. Zelda agreed as she saw no better alternative. Link and Zelda both sent Platt and Plume to deliver letters that Impa wrote up. These would go to everyone they trusted to assist in the plan. Platt and Plume managed to get a few other notable rito to help. In time responses showed as allies were rallied to their meeting point. From there Zelda and Impa grouped others based on abilities and educated them on where to go when the plan was underway. Each group agreed and they eventually set out for the castle.

Using Zelda's knowledge of the castle, Link was led through the basements as Impa sent groups to their destinations. For Link and Zelda it was an easy task getting to the Master Sword's chamber. Using the Ocarina of Time, Zelda (posing as a skyloftian named Mynah), opened the doors into the chamber. They were quickly ambushed by Ganondorf. In the struggle both Link and Zelda were overwhelmed and the Ocarina of Time was stolen. When power started being drawn out of the magical instrument, Link started to hear the screaming of a little girl. The screams drove him mad and Link attacked Ganondorf once more, slashing his hand. When the instrument fell, Link quickly smashed it beneath his heel to deny Ganondorf. Link's actions caused backlash, but the ground shaking violently stopped everyone. Ganondorf chose to leave Link alive, presumably having gotten what he wanted.

After the Evil King's retreat, Link and Zelda were left to die in the chamber. However, Link's sheer will to live and get out of it kept him going. He checked on Zelda but found her unconscious for the time being. A small spirit like being appeared to him briefly and used its power to undo some of the wound to one of Link's shoulders. After it floated off towards the Master Sword which Link saw as it leading him. With nothing else to be done, Link headed to the Master Sword to attempt pulling the sacred blade from its resting place. Surprisingly, as he approached, the Master Sword lit up and a small orb of light sprang forth. A different spirit had shown up and greeted him as if she knew him before announcing that her assistance was, 'once again needed'. Link drew the Master Sword and took up the role of being Fi's master in the current age. Fi rejoined the Master Sword and Link went to leave. Zelda was waking up by this point which made leaving easier, but they had limited time. Zelda tried to gather the ocarina shards but was stopped short when monsters arrived. With most in tow, she and Link made their way out with Fi's assistance.

When the duo reached outside they found others had the same idea of leaving. They regrouped only for Impa to spread the group apart. Everyone was instructed to go their own way in the escape to make pursuit less likely. They listened but Impa took Link with her and Zelda when they left. One month later and his injuries had been healed. He began to travel but Zelda is with him due to her own spirit companion having bonded with Fi. The two are stuck together for the time being as Zelda has made it clear she wants to help restore her land to peace. The two have since found their allies and have begun their quest to bring peace back to Hyrule. Their quest has been more involved than they'd both imagined. The small spirit that bonded with Zelda needs help from the sages to remove portals that lead into other times and realities and bring access back to the places they wiped off the map. Link and his allies have thus far managed to assist this spirit, Saniya, in closing two of these tears in time.

I've been waiting for this NPC to appear, and it's finally here! He's quite a bit older than Zelda now, I'm glad you warned us before he was revealed. I like that you've put a twist on his tunic instead of just giving him what he already wears in canon games, makes him unique. A question before I go, is there a Master Sword in this roleplay, and if there is, will he be getting it soon?

I think his design is why he took forever. x'D I kept changing small details here and there and it was tough to find something that worked for a, "poor, non-social wanderer" type. Like everything else I tried looked too fancy. =w=;; But I'm glad what I did works. Honestly I didn't want to use the colors I did, but it's kind of a trademark for him so it'd make it easier for people to identify him as Link.

Where there's a Ganondorf, there's a Master Sword to strike him down. Which is a fancy way of confirming the Master Sword will be used.

So there will be Ganondorf (of a sort) and a Master Sword. Is the villian of this roleplay going to be male or female (maybe like Ganondorf for male?), and also, would I be able to draw this Link too?

The villain I'm still considering. Right now there could or could not be one. Depends upon a few things right now, but I'm hoping we will have one besides Ganondorf.
And sure thing! You can draw anyone you'd like that's posted in the group. <3

Okay, doesn't look bad so far, but there is one thing that disturbs me: WHERE IS HIS DAMNED HAT?

He doesn't have one. At least not yet.
