Title's probably gonna be changed a few hundred times, I'm sick of putting off submissions just because I can't think of a decent title.

So I visited Maryland Institute College of Art this weekend for a tour and some portfolio day reviews, and I ended up missing most of the school day that monday. I was signed out for the whole day but chose to come the last three periods, accidentally signed myself back in (huge mistake, then the attendance office said I was "sick" which indicates that the entire school does not want me there) and no longer felt obligated to care about school that day, even though I only had art classes and orchestra.

I honestly didn't want to work on my perspective drawing thing so I did some [failed] watercolor doodles, and then I decided to do a wash in my sketchbook. I soaked it in water, painted it over with red and blue, doused the thing in sea salt (and ended up having to scoop it all out of the crevices of the pages because it was too thick to do much of anything and never dissolved all the way) and stuck paper towel between the pages and pressed it for a day.

The sketchbook sustained minimal to no apparent damage, but while I was sitting next to my dad who was probably in the worst physical condition I've ever seen him in, I turned it into an elephant.
A gy-raffe is second in what I think should be a series, this was fun.
