A fair question indeed...yes, on occsion I will take candids; try and capture that moment as it happens. But more often than that my shoots are set up. Chalk it up to the day job (I'm a cinematographer)...I've gotten used to having control over every aspect of the image (in other words...I'm a control freak ) So the challenge becomes catching a natural moment (or as you said...revealing aspects of their personalities) in a very stilted and unnatural environment. Both disciplines are very difficult...and I have enoromous respect for those people who can capture beauty as it happens.

ever notice how your figures are purposefully posing in your gallery.
here your girl is showing you her charms, in others youre trying to reveal different aspects of their personaities....
not to pry but do you ever catch anyone by surprise?
the quality would be very poor but it would be interesting none the less.... unless of course im mewling up the wrong tree and thats just not your thing. i understand.
