Die braucht man eigentlich immer. Sie sorgt für ein Quäntchen mehr Kontrast. Selbst wenn kein hartes Streiflicht vorhanden ist.

Auf jeden Fall. Ich frag mich ohnehin warum manche Leute erst gar keine dazu kaufen. (Bei Canon und Nikon sind die nur bei den teureren Linsen mit dabei.)
Auch wenn der Unterschied bei bedecktem Himmel sehr klein bis kaum vorhanden ist, schaden tut es nicht und Profis, oder fortgeschrittenere Amateure lachen dich nicht innerlich aus wenn du die Sonnenblende falsch herum drauf hast.
Ich nehme an du lachst auch öfter über Leute die eine Kilometer weite Landschaft fotografieren und den Blitz an haben. Das ist noch ne Stufe krasser.
Ein bereits vorhandener Kontrast im Foto ist immer besser, als einer den man nachträglich in Photoshop erzeugt.

UV Filter bringen heutzutage gar nichts mehr. Früher hat man die im Gebirge gerne eingesetzt.
Digitalsensoren sind tatsächlich auf für UV-Licht sensibilisiert. Allerdings sind heutige Objektive mit ihren vielen und oft vergüteten Linsen in der Lage diese UV-Störungen auszufiltern ohne, dass es eines extra Filters bedarf.
Im Gegenteil stört der Filter eher. Er ist ein weiterer unnützer Übergang für das Licht von Luft in Glas und zurück in Luft. Um möglichst wenig Qualitätsverluste zu haben, kaufen manche Leute dann hochvergütete UV-Filter die weit mehr kosten als der eventuelle Austausch einer Frontlinse wenn sie einmal beschädigt ist.
Und vor allem bei billigeren Linsen lohnt das nicht. Ich hab ein 19-35mm Objektiv, das hat nen richtig bösen Kratzer auf der Front. - Auf keinem Foto ist davon was zu sehen. - Dass ich es trotzdem nicht mehr benutze liegt daran, dass es an sich schon ziemlicher Müll war.
