Awww I feel for you :'3 I often do the typical - 'you too' when people checking tickets in cinemas, theaters etc. is saying 'enjoy the show' :'D it never stops being awkward :'3 X'D
Somewhat :'D he was a minor character tho so most of his story is actually made last year when making a short story series about him :'3

Another classic I do is when a cashier ask if I want the recipt I am saying good day to you or something :'D or basically just saying stupid stuff to casshiers X'D

Ahah oh no! :') I don't have any specific example in mind but often in social situations I imagine what someone could ask me, that then answer as I was answering to the question in my head when in reality the person asked something completely different! xD Or the classic just nodding or saying yes/no when you can't hear what someone says! :') Though I think the less awkward ones do that too! :'D
