Description
Quick note to watchers: I apologize for being silent after posting on a regular schedule. Now that I have started college, I was able to create a few artworks from my art class I might post in the near future, so please stay tuned!Do not be fooled by the peacefulness of this drawing. I used warm tones of orange to create a balance and symbolize the environmental issue of this piece; waste dumping. The place I referenced from had the history of waste being split into, essentially causing an unhealthy ecosystem for the salmon further upstream as well as the organisms living near. Since it happened (during WW2), it has all settled to the bottom of the river, which is why on the surface everything seems fine. Most environmental issues are not made aware of until they are visible, especially contaminated waters, which affect the area and even people through food source.
What we can do to decrease harmful waste from going into lakes is by not flushing anything other than our own waste (or food) down the sewers.
Thank you for stopping by, faving, or commenting. It really helps me stay motivated towards my future goals.

that's a pleasant scene, nature can recover but it does take a little time and care from us

Vdgjgghvfg welcome back, Mich! it's been so long since I got to see one of your lovely pieces...but man, was it worth it! ^_^
Mich, I ADORE how your work always sort of takes me on a journey. I think it's one thing, and then reading your descriptions, I learn the true meaning, and it all becomes clear. Like, I saw this one and I thought "ooh, that's beautiful! But it does feel kind of unnatural..." and then lo and behold, it was meant to represent the toxicity of waste dumping. I winced when I saw that, and it all made sense. It was an experience
Thank you Mich, for this quick journey you took me on! I'm certainly never going to flush anything that won't naturally break down.
and as an added tip to anyone who reads this: do NOT flush wet wipes!! Even if they say flushable! They do NOT break down as tp does.
Hope that helps, Mich.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I will be sure to upload a bit more frequently (I hope) ^^.
I'm glad the description gives a bit of insight into the problems my piece deals with, after all I want to inspire better decisions.
Thank you for that tip! Even if I was aware of it, others may not, and I appreciate you being aware of that.
As always, thank you for commenting. Not only does it make me happy, but I also appreciate your feedback. <3
