Ok, I am so very jealous. I went to Zion for the first time this past summer but didn't get to see nearly enough, looking through your photo's you have been to a few places on the top of my list for this summer

I really love the shot, a great example of B&W.

I did however have a question. When I am editing shot's like these, I always find myself reluctant to darken any area's to the point where it loses detail. My question is as follows: why did you chose to go so dark as to remove detail, and do you have any idea's as to whether I should perhaps be less reluctant to do so.
