this is a shot of my desk top. it is a pic taken of the front of my players guide for dragonlance. i made that pic into a desktop later on after i had taken the pic. the picture is a painting done by one of my favorite artists in the world, larry elmore! that guy just rocks all the way around! anyway, as you can see, i use the side of the book that outlines it (this is from a HUGE pic of the book) to put all my icons. that way it doesnt get into any of the painting itself.

what book was it? i read dragons of a fallen sun, but that was the newest i got. kendermore and the gully dwarves are my faves.

its the newest one called, dragons of the dwarven depths, the lost chronicles. the fallen sun one, man that one is pretty old, i read that sooooo long ago, lol. ok so its not as old as some of em, heh, but that trilogy has already been out n is now in like a pack you can get all three in on paper back.

yeah, dragon's of a fallen sun is kinda old, but i hardly get to go to town and i can never find those books so i'm kinda outdated on those.

lol i just finished reading the newest chronicles book, the lost ones. its really good, but damn man i gotta wait til next summer for the next one to come out.

i get em for like xmas or bday, which is all the same time pretty much, lol. cuz my bday is fri which is like 10 days before xmas, so its all the same pretty much, lol. n e way, i got a lot of them when they first started coming out, waaaay back in like '85, lol. its a long standing collection n get some from ebay, which they send to your door, tehehehe.

a friend of mine is like you. she wont come visit me b/c it requires driving through/in the city, lol. i cant drive due to pain and seizures, not to mention the meds im on, lol. i was told if im pulled over it can be considered as a dui.
ok yeah so when i talked to the author last yr at dragon con, she said it wont be out til this may!(the new mina book that is, amber and something..name escapes me now after all this time, lol) the damn publisher holdin shit back. >< sry took me so long to reply.

yup i went to dragoncon. i go every yr when i can get someone to take me. b/c of all the shit thats wrong with me i have to have someone go with me. so when i cant get n e one, im sol.
lets see...im back in in art school now n i moved. thats a big thing. looking for a new car currently to carry all my shit in, being my wheelchairs n whatnot. i got a motorized one and my lil car wont carry it. havent been able to find much thus far. i think thats the big things that have happened, lol.

nothing much has happened for me. just got over a bad cold, stupid school banned DA and we just barely got our internet back at home. and my b-days in one week! ^-^ lol.

yeha im bakc in art school after a looong haitius(sp). i dont think myself that good of an artist where drawing is concerned. thus does it frustrate me to no end. very stressful for me, these art classes. no class is more stressful for me then drawing, lol. so have you heard back about your scholarship?

i'm working on sterling scholar right now. competition is tomorrow. >.< i'm soo stressed over it and i've lost so much sleep. cannot wait till it's over. as for the scholarship, no, i haven't heard back yet. hopefully soon.

Nice use of the image there; I love DL art too. I was saddened to hear about Larry Elmore's death last year, but no doubt the cool DL art will keep coming from artists he's influenced over the last 20-odd years.
The new books, and the prequels, don't hold the same appeal really. But Kindred Spirits wasgood, it's about the time that Flint and Tanis met for the first time.

Um....you know what, I don't think it was Larry who died; I was getting confused.
I read a post on a Weis and Hickman site recently saying that one of the famous Dragonlance artists had died, and I could've sworn it was Elmore! But given that he's due to appear at 4 conventions this year I guess it wasn't him!!
Larry, if you're reading this, sorry for killing you off just then...glad you're still alive and kicking!!

Nah, I searched for ages and couldn't find the post again. Thing is, I was reading an old copy of Kindred Spirits at the time and I could swear that whoever illustrated it was the one who died.
I'm starting to wonder if I've imagined the entire thing now.....
