Description A short, three-panel exercise. Script by Kevin Fong (who writes really well-formatted scripts by the way!).

Created for Warren Ellis' Three Panels Open feature on his blog this month. Go check it out there as well and please take a moment to share it! WarrenEllis.com

It was fun to just focus on a small sliver of an obviously much bigger story. I like that there is next to no context for this scene, which is more about the mood than anything else.

Also, flagged as Mature for some big people language. Sorry, kiddies.

This would be really cool to look into. I was just watching a show about the universe recently and they mentioned red giants. =]
I feel like a good amount came across just for 3 panels. Nice job!

Interesting story-segment; you did a fantastic job illustrating it!

It reminds me if Gene Rodenberry's Golden Apple. I don't know if you've ever seen the illustrated version, but its got the same concept. Lone spaceship approaches the sun (for a sample of plasma). Lets hope your coolant system doesn't fail and the crew dies a lonesome, silent, firy death.

You probably won't find anything -- he's thinking of "The Golden Apples of the Sun" by Ray Bradbury. (Gene would be flattered, I'm sure.) Great pic, by the way.
